Manchester Essex boys soccer holds unbeaten Newburyport to a 0 to 0 tie

Manchester Essex's boys soccer team went to unbeaten Newburyport on Thursday, Oct. 1, and came home with a 0 to 0 tie.

The Cape Ann League match was scoreless at halftime and stayed that way, according to the MaxPreps box score and the Hornets' athletics account.

Manchester Essex is 4 and 1 with four ties, by the school's count. Newburyport is 6 and 0 with two ties.

It was the Hornets' second straight shutout after a 4 to 0 win at Hamilton-Wenham on Sept. 29.
