Manchester Essex sweeps Rockport in soccer; Hornets golf tops Georgetown

The Manchester Essex girls won 6 to 2 and the boys won 2 to 0. Gloucester field hockey stayed perfect, and Marblehead and Ipswich won golf matches over Gloucester and Rockport. All finals are from the MIAA.

Girls soccer: Manchester Essex 6, Rockport 2

Manchester Essex beat Rockport 6 to 2 at home Tuesday, Oct. 6, according to the MIAA. Scorers were not posted.

The Hornets visit Amesbury on Thursday at 4 p.m. Rockport plays at Ipswich on Thursday at 4 p.m.

  • Manchester Essex beat Georgetown 156 to 107 at Essex County Club. The Hornets host Amesbury on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
  • Ipswich beat Rockport 142 to 134 at Rockport Golf Club. Rockport plays at Georgetown on Wednesday at 3 p.m., at Black Swan Golf Course.
  • Marblehead beat Gloucester 47 to 25 at Bass Rocks Golf Club.
