Thursday's finals, Oct. 8

  • Volleyball: Gloucester 3, Saugus 0, at Gloucester.
  • Boys soccer: Manchester Essex 4, Amesbury 0, at Manchester Essex. Ipswich 3, Rockport 1, at Rockport.
  • Girls soccer: Amesbury 2, Manchester Essex 1, at Amesbury. Ipswich 1, Rockport 0, at Ipswich.

Area colleges, Thursday: Salem State volleyball beat Vermont State Johnson 3 to 1 at home, and Framingham State beat Salem State field hockey 2 to 0 in Salem, Salem State's athletics site shows. Gordon's golf match with Endicott and Suffolk had no team result posted at press time.

Wednesday's finals, Oct. 7

  • Boys soccer: Gloucester 3, Winthrop 0, at Gloucester.
  • Girls soccer: Winthrop 4, Gloucester 0, at Winthrop.
  • Field hockey: Manchester Essex 3, Amesbury 0, at Amesbury. Ipswich 5, Rockport 0, at Ipswich.
  • Cross country: Manchester Essex girls 19, Amesbury 38. Amesbury boys 26, Manchester Essex 31. The lower score wins.
  • Golf: Rockport 154, Georgetown 93, at Black Swan Golf Course (posted Thursday).
